Application Developer - SAP Enterprise Integration

Your role and responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you'll engage in various phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and support. Your role involves creating software solutions that support clients' hybrid-cloud and AI initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

1. Comprehensive Feature Development and Issue Resolution: Developing features end-to-end and addressing implementation challenges.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration and Issue Resolution: Working with internal and external stakeholders to understand problems and resolve issues within defined SLAs.
3. Continuous Learning and Technology Integration: Staying eager to learn new technologies and applying them in feature development.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant, SAP Technical Lead, or SAP Technical Architect, with 3 full implementation cycles in SAP Technical teams.
• Strong consultative skills to articulate customer value propositions for SAP products, technologies, and solutions (e.g., ERP 6.0, CRM 2007, NetWeaver 7.4, BI, BOBJ).
• Deep and broad technical knowledge of SAP solutions on NetWeaver 7.5, HANA, S/4HANA, SAP Cloud (HEC), and SAP On-Premise and Cloud solutions.
• Experience implementing SAP in production Data Centres, aligning with IT best practices.
• Ability to lead technical teams or work independently, either as part of a team or remotely.
• Good understanding of emerging trends in the Insurance Industry (Big Data, Integration, Cloud, API) and experience driving these for clients.
• Experience with Insurance Architecture Consulting is advantageous; participation in international tech forums is a plus.

Must be located in or willing to relocate to Bedford, Nova Scotia.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Knowledge of competitive environments and alternative technological approaches.
• Experience with SAP systems, network management, and integration techniques.
• Skills in Performance Analysis and Capacity Planning.
• Understanding of SAP implementations on virtualization technologies like VMware or PowerVM.
• Experience with clustering and high availability solutions.
• Knowledge of ERP 6.0 implementations on Windows, Linux, and other OS.
• Familiarity with databases such as Oracle and DB2.
