Job summary

LanceSoft Inc is seeking an Intermediate Application Developer for a 12-month remote contract role in Edmonton. The candidate will leverage their 5 years of experience with SQL Server, ETL processes, and application support to develop and maintain enterprise applications. Strong documentation skills and an understanding of data warehouse environments are required, along with security clearance prior to commencement. Ideal candidates should also be familiar with Agile methodologies.

Role: Application Developer - Intermediate
Location: Edmonton Alberta (Remote)
Duration: 12 Months Contract With possible extension.

• Proposed resource has agreed to a Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Security Clearance including a credit check prior to commencement.

Must Have:

• Experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. 5 years
• Experience creating user training materials, technical documentation, and platform support resources. 5 years
• Experience working as an Application Developer within an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta. 5 years
• Experience working in a data warehouse/business intelligence or relevant data environment in either a development or support role. 5 years
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools, with hands-on experience designing and implementing data pipelines for transforming and loading data from multiple sources into data warehouses. 5 years

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Agile methodology. 3 years
• Experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing. 3 years
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes on large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment. 3 years
