The Application Architect plays a pivotal role within the Global Fraud Technology initiatives. This position involves leading the technical design and implementation of advanced solutions to enhance the organization’s digital presence and operational efficiency. The architect ensures alignment of architecture decisions with Fraud strategic goals and technical requirements, fostering innovation and excellence in application development and deployment.
Responsibilities include:
- Championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank resources.
- Promoting a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
- Overseeing migration and deployment projects, including transitions to new data processing or ML-Ops technologies.
- Developing and maintaining architecture decisions to ensure performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of architecture decisions, project plans, and operational procedures.
- Collaborating with multiple teams across the bank to align strategy and architecture design.
- Driving innovation through proof of concepts and technical discussions aligned with strategic goals.
- Ensuring solutions comply with security standards such as PCI for data tokenization.
- Assessing business strategies, current environments, and technology options to evaluate solutions.
- Presenting technical information clearly to build trust and consensus among stakeholders.
- Designing architectural solutions and roadmaps aligned with enterprise standards for software modernization.
- Participating in scalability and best-practice discussions.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years in software engineering.
- 5+ years in architecture design, including creating reference architectures and artifacts.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including resource management and cost optimization.
- Experience with data processing tools such as Pub/Sub, Dataflows, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Kafka, MongoDB, Apache Flink.
- Hands-on experience in system analysis, design, and architecture of complex environments, including microservices, event-driven architecture, ETL, and cloud deployment.
- Knowledge of system resiliency engineering and agile practices.
- Expertise in managing large-scale data ingestion, storage, and processing, including real-time and batch processing.
- Strong understanding of data security protocols, encryption, tokenization, and compliance standards like PCI.
- Proven ability to manage complex migration and deployment projects and lead technical sessions.
- Experience working with diverse teams and excellent communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Relevant cloud certifications, such as Google Cloud Architect.
