You will maintain the Nuclear Materials Master Catalogue and work with outage teams to ensure material availability and optimize life-cycle costs. A strong purchasing background and knowledge of inventory control are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Two-year college diploma in program such as Business Purchasing (or equivalent).
  • Six years’ experience in Purchasing/Inventory role.
  • PMAC, APICS or SCMP would be an asset.

  • Purchase a specialized range of products/services from local, national and international vendors.

Job Title: Buyer Analyst I

Status: PWU Hiring Hall, 40-hour work week

Shiftwork: Potential for shiftwork

Job Overview: Buyers purchase a specialized range of products and services from a number of local, national and international vendors. Buyers negotiate contract conditions, perform complex evaluations, claims and adjustments. Buyers maintain the Nuclear Materials Master Catalogue and Catalogue Templates. Are responsible for materials inventories of assigned categories utilizing the Materials Management Module of the computerized system. Ensure equipment and materials availability meets the end user requirements. Optimize inventory levels to reduce the total life cycle costs of equipment and materials. Liaison with outage teams and Integrated Planning Group (IPG), coordinating their requirements within the Materials Management organization.
