NAC is currently seeking a full time Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join our Head Office Finance team located in Morriston, ON (Hwy 6/Hw 401).

Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk will be responsible for providing support to the head office accounting team. This includes performing data entry and related duties such as posting invoices in the payable system, printing cheques, reconciling statements and general administration. This position involves diplomatic interaction to provide billing information and support, in order to facilitate daily reconciliations.

Job Description:
  • Collaborate with the Controller to maintain collection goals and general A/P performance levels.
  • Review bills to the company for potential errors and/or discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions.
  • Accounts payable.
  • General ledgers, journals and other financial records.
  • Invoicing.
  • Print cheques and associated documentation.
  • Maintain organized files and generate accurate reports.
  • Assist in all aspects of accounting advantages.
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accounting or administration program, or 3+ years’ experience in an A/P capacity.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting systems and full accounting cycle.
  • Advanced computer skills on programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
