Job summary

Porter Airlines seeks an Aircraft Material Handler to manage the handling and issuing of aircraft material, maintain inventory accuracy in AMOS, and perform shipping/receiving functions at Toronto Pearson (YYZ).

You will support Maintenance, Inventory Control and Planning with parts for overnight work packs, coordinate domestic and international shipments, and participate in the company’s Safety Management System. This is a 24/7 operation requiring 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be organized, detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Must have a valid Class G driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
• Must communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Handle and issue aircraft material and maintain accurate inventory records in AMOS.
• Assist Maintenance, Inventory Control and Planning by picking and issuing parts for overnight work packs.
• Coordinate shipping of aircraft material domestically and internationally, including DG shipments.
• Expedite shipping of urgent AOG material to outstations and manage COMAT shipments.
• Load/unload freight using forklift and pallet jacks; arrange local courier pickups.
• Participate in safety initiatives and follow Porter's SMS policies.
