Work environment
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is an independent agency reporting to Parliament through the President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada. It aims to be a modern, world-class organization that advances transportation safety. The TSB employs approximately 220 staff and 5 Board Members, operating across 10 locations in Canada, fostering a collegial and collaborative environment.
Intent of the process
This process aims to establish a diversified pool of candidates for various positions, with different tenures, language profiles, requirements, locations, and security needs. The number of positions to be staffed is to be determined.
Application requirements
To be considered, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the following essential qualifications:
Profiles assessed later include language proficiency (English essential, bilingual BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC), knowledge of the Canadian Transportation Accident Investigation and Safety Board Act, Transportation Safety Board Regulations, Aeronautics Act, Canadian Aviation Regulations, and industry knowledge.
Additional skills include communication, teamwork, analytical writing, interpersonal relationships, integrity, and initiative. Asset qualifications include a degree in aviation, possession of additional licenses, experience with multi-engine aircraft, accident investigations, and supervisory experience.
Conditions of employment include security clearance, health assessments, possession of a valid driver’s license, willingness to deploy to accident sites, travel readiness, and training compliance.
