Canadian Tire Bank is seeking an AML Data Program Manager to lead analytics and enterprise AML reporting. You will transform data into insights for risk management, regulatory compliance, and strategic decisions while collaborating with Technology, Data, Risk, and business units.
This role requires strong business acumen, independence, and the ability to influence outcomes through data-driven recommendations in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
Reporting to the AVP, Anti-Money Laundering, the AML Data Program Manager is the AML program's lead analytics and reporting expert, responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support risk management, regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making. The role provides enterprise-wide leadership on AML reporting, analytics, data governance, and performance measurement, partnering closely with Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance AML program effectiveness and support organizational objectives. This role is best suited for a highly self-sufficient analytics professional who is comfortable operating with significant autonomy in an evolving environment. The successful candidate will independently identify opportunities, define analytical approaches, solve complex business problems, and drive initiatives from concept through implementation with minimal supervision. Success in the role requires strong business acumen, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes through data-driven insights and recommendations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the business context behind the data and demonstrate the ability to connect the "why," "what," and "how" of analytics. They will understand why a business problem matters, determine what insights and outcomes are needed, and identify how best to leverage data, analytics, and technology to deliver practical solutions that support AML program objectives.
This is a Manager-level individual contributor role. The successful candidate will serve as the AML function's lead analytics and reporting expert, providing strategic leadership, subject matter expertise, and enterprise-wide influence through data, insights, and analytical capabilities rather than through direct people management. This role requires a highly independent and self‑directed professional who can operate with minimal supervision, navigate ambiguity, and take ownership of complex analytical and business challenges from inception through delivery. Equally important, the successful candidate must be able to translate complex data, analytics, and technical findings into clear, plain-language insights and recommendations that support decision‑making by AML leadership and other non-technical stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder influence, and persuasion skills are essential, as success in this role depends on the ability to build credibility, influence decisions, drive action, and deliver outcomes through data-driven recommendations and collaborative partnerships across the organization. The successful candidate will function as the primary analytics advisor to AML leadership, helping shape strategy, prioritize initiatives, and enhance the effectiveness of the AML program through the intelligent use of data. They will possess a unique ability to connect the "why," "what," and "how" of analytics by understanding business objectives, translating them into meaningful insights, and delivering practical solutions that drive informed decision‑making, measurable results, and continuous improvement across the AML program.
Broadband Salary Range: $79,000 – $131,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role‑specific requirements.
