Overview

Location: Shelly's Hog Farm (Grunthal, MB)

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Salary: Starting wage from $19.00 per hour.

Schedule: Rotating shifts that include weekends, holidays, and occasional alarm response.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working closely with the Manager, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day operations in the barn. This includes a variety of physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, lifting (up to 25kg), and continuous walking. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Feeding and providing general care for pigs.
  • Maintaining herd health and a clean and safe environment for pigs.
  • Pressure washing and preparing rooms for animal entry.
  • Performing minor maintenance and sanitation tasks.
  • Completing clerical duties such as maintaining door charts, inventory trackers, and ordering feed and medication.
  • Following all health and safety policies and adhering to Canada Packers’ SOPs for humane animal treatment.
