Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) seeks an experienced Anesthesiologist to join a team of 10 professionals. Responsibilities include administering anesthesia for surgeries and engaging in quality improvement processes. Opportunities for growth exist in areas like chronic pain management and ultrasound-guided anesthesia.
The successful candidate(s) will join a team of 10 anesthesiologists providing anesthesia services at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH).
Responsibilities include administering general anesthesia for procedures such as general surgery, ENT, gynecology, plastic surgery, orthopedics, urology, and ophthalmology. Candidates should have experience in managing pediatric and obstetrical cases. Additional duties involve pre-admission clinic consultations, sedation administration in the endoscopy suite, and support for complex cases in the emergency department. There are opportunities for ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and participation in a chronic pain management clinic for trained candidates.
Providing on-call services approximately once every 10 days.
Engaging in strategic planning, program development, quality improvement, safety initiatives, and hospital committees related to anesthesia. Ensuring efficient resource use and prioritizing after-hours cases.
