Job summary

Windsor Regional Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Assistant to provide safe, patient-focused perioperative care under the guidance of anesthesiologists. You will assist during intraoperative and immediate perioperative periods, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety.

This role requires active collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and ongoing professional development. The position supports hospital goals and standards, with a commitment to high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (Ontario License) required.
• Anesthesia Assistant training/education required to work in this field.
• Current certification as Anesthesia Assistant required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Able to work all shifts as required.
• Able to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary health care team.
• Commitment to professional development and quality improvement activities.
• French language proficiency an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, patient-focused perioperative care under supervision of anesthesiologists.
• Assist anesthesiologists during intraoperative and immediate perioperative periods.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and hospital quality initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and scopes of practice.
