Andrologist-in-Training
Department: Laboratory
Reports To: Andrology Supervisor & Lab Director
Location: Vancouver Clinic
Work Schedule: 4-days on, 4-days off; 10 hours per day
Overview:
Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Commitment of Olive Fertility Centre:
This is a learning position to develop professional skills and gain experience in the clinical andrology laboratory with the goal of achieving proficiency in the performance of andrology procedures in accordance with Olive Fertility Centre’s protocol manuals.
Key Areas of Involvement Include:
- Semen Analysis
- Sperm Preparation
- Donor Sperm Preparation
- Semen Freezing
- Thaw of Cryopreserved Sperm & Semen
- Trial Wash
- Chart review and chart preparation
- Quality control
- Media Preparation
Qualifications:
Education, Training and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, biological sciences, or similar from an accredited university.
- Adequate computer skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Understanding of the Internet is necessary.
- Previous human or animal andrology experience is not required. This is an entry-level position for an outstanding candidate with great potential and a desire to become an andrologist at Olive Fertility Centre.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
