Android Software Dev Engineer II, Mobile App

As part of the Mobile team, you will contribute to building our mobile application for Android devices. This is a great opportunity to reach a large user base on one of our fastest-growing platforms and enhance the Amazon customer experience worldwide.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and owning Android app features across the full stack.
• Collaborating with a talented Mobile team to bring flexibility, speed, and quality to our development process.
• Partnering with Android and full-stack engineers to improve the Android mobile experience.
• Working with Service teams to develop and enhance API calls.
• Participating in a fast-paced release cycle, with updates every 4-6 weeks.

The ideal candidate is comfortable coding and defining technical architecture, with a deep understanding of the Android platform, service-oriented architecture, and application design. A passion for learning and a track record of delivering results on challenging problems are essential.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
