Job description

Quantfury (Canada) is a fintech company developing and supporting one of the world’s fastest-growing online trading platforms, with a monthly trading volume exceeding $7 billion. We are rapidly expanding our team and looking for an Android Developer to join us in building a robust, high-performance financial trading application.

Our development team is distributed across the world, working remotely with a shared focus on innovation, efficiency, and delivering seamless user experiences.

What We Expect:

  • A proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented problem solver.
  • Strong understanding of Android application architecture and best practices.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable Kotlin code.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, local databases, and MVVM architecture.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization, animations, and UI/UX best practices.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working on projects with multiple activities transitioning to multiple fragments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving fintech environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Fluent Russian is required for effective communication with other team members and external service providers.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Android development.
  • Comfortable usingGit and working in a CI/CD environment (Jenkins, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
  • Experience with Jetpack components, particularly ConstraintLayout.
  • Strong experience with RxJava for reactive programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Retrofit for networking and API integration.
  • Experience with RecyclerView, efficient UI rendering, and animation handling.
  • Proficiency in networking, handling RESTful APIs, and WebSockets.
  • Hands-on experience with Room Database or other local storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with Gradle and Kotlin DSL for build configurations.
  • Comfortable using Git and working in a CI/CD environment (Jenkins, etc.).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with SignalR for real-time communication.
  • Knowledge of Koin for dependency injection.
  • Understanding of SSL/TLS and network security configurations.
  • Experience in fintech or trading applications.
  • Skills in using modern AI tools to speed up development.
  • Experience working with Figma for UI/UX collaboration.
