Role Summary: The Ancillary Building Construction Engineer converts design concepts into practical construction solutions, ensuring alignment with project specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design and technical teams to review and analyze ancillary building designs.
  • Identify constructability issues early and develop engineering solutions.
  • Assist in developing construction methodologies, sequencing, and interface strategies.
  • Support technical specifications, design criteria, and scope development.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Contribute to construction planning and site logistics.
  • Coordinate with permitting authorities and assist in permit documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Building Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible to obtain.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in rail, transit, or large infrastructure projects.
