Job summary

Best Buy Canada is seeking an Analytics Implementation Engineer to drive data collection for key business objectives and improve our web & app analytics. Based in Vancouver, this remote-first role collaborates with analysts and development teams to implement tagging across platforms and help define the data technology roadmap.

Work involves ensuring compliance, optimizing data collection, and supporting experimentation through tagging and governance practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing and implementing analytics solutions across web and app.
• Expertise in Adobe Analytics implementation using Adobe Launch.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, React/React Native, Firebase for tagging.
• Experience designing enterprise data layers/workflows and data governance strategies.
• Experience with debuggers and audit tools such as Charles, ObservePoint, and developer console.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts, agile development teams and stakeholders to ensure tracking is in place for key business objectives.
• Implement and manage marketing and analytics tags across platforms, including Adobe, Google and other third-party tools.
• Develop, document, and implement best practices for data collection with a focus on automation and quality.
• End-to-end development and execution of tagging, adhering to architecture, security and governance standards.
• Support our A/B testing and personalization program, including test setup, audience building, tracking validation and process optimization.
• Work with legal and data engineering teams to ensure data collection complies with GDPR and related regulations.

Analytics Implementation Engineer

Do you have a passion for data and analytics, especially in thedigitalspace?

As ananalytics implementation engineeron the datatechnologyteam, you will play a criticalrole inenabling data collection for key business objectives and improving ourweb & appanalyticsimplementation. You will be involved in the entire implementation process and play an active role in helping to define andexecuteour datatechnologyroadmap.

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do:

• Work cross-functionally with analysts, agile development teams and business stakeholders to ensure tracking is in place for key business objectives.
• Implementandmanage marketing & analytics tagsacrossmultiple platforms,including Adobe, Google and other third-party tools.
• Develop, document, and implement best practices for data collection with a focus on continuously improving and automating our implementation.
• End-to-enddevelopment and execution of tagging,whileadhering totechnology,architecture,security and governancestandards.
• Support our A/B testing and personalization program, including user support and troubleshootingforsetting up tests, building audiences,tracking validation,and optimizing ourstandards&processes.
• Work with legal and data engineering teams to ensure that data collection is compliant with legislation such as GDPR and Bill C64.

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years’ experience designing and implementing analytics solutions across web and app.
• Expertise in adobe analyticsimplementation usingadobe launch, with google analytics andgoogle ad manager (GAM)being ideal.
• Proficiency inHTML, CSS,JavaScript,JSON,react/react native, firebasefor custom tagging, data validation, and integration with analytics platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data layers/workflowsand data governance strategies.
• Experience with debuggers and audit tools such as charles, observe point and developer console.

Annualized Compensation Range

$95,000.00 - $105,000.00
