Tailscale is hiring an Analytics Engineer in Canada to design, build, and maintain scalable data models and production-grade pipelines. You will partner with Finance, Engineering, Sales, and other teams to deliver trusted data for reporting, analysis, and decision-making.

You will tackle complex workflows, ensure data quality, and drive practical, incremental improvements in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Design and maintain production-grade data models and pipelines.
• Strong command of data modeling principles and best practices.
• Excellent SQL skills and ability to work with complex datasets.

Responsibilities

• Dive into complex systems to understand tools and constraints.
• Design and maintain scalable dbt models (e.g., ARR, revenue recognition).
• Work across the full data pipeline from ingestion to visualization.
• Balance quick fixes with thoughtful long-term design.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Sales, and other teams to deliver practical data solutions.
