Job summary

Slalom is seeking an Analytics Engineer at consultant or senior consultant level to design, build, and modernize semantic layers enabling self-service analytics and cross-platform reporting. You will blend standard software (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma) with open-source tools (e.g., Streamlit) and translate business insights into data models.

You will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders, develop data models with SQL/Python, and help advance AI-friendly data

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python; experience with semantic layer tools and analytics platforms (dbt, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics solution design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Fluency in white-boarding and design solutions for data mapping and user experience requirements.
• Exposure to or interest in AI/ML integration and modern data architectures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Hybrid/In office: We are hybrid but there are expectations that if your team leader or client requires you onsite that you are able to meet those expectations/requirements

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the expected base salary pay ranges for Consultant is $100,000 to $115,000 and for Senior Consultant is $115,000 - $130,000. In addition, there is potential for a 8 - 10% discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation will depend upon individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
