The Opportunity

Reporting to the AVP, Data & Reporting, the Analytics Engineer is an integral part of the Data and Reporting Team, responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, supporting data modeling, and ensuring data integrity and validation. This work includes data profiling, extraction, cleansing, and transformation to support internal teams and external members.

This role supports the existing data infrastructure while contributing to the organization’s future data transformation efforts. The Analytics Engineer will help plan, create, and monitor scalable data pipelines focused on data acquisition, ingestion, cleansing, transformation, validation, and modeling to support multiple business areas. In addition, the role involves creating and managing a centralized data warehouse to serve as a single source of truth for reporting and analytics. The Analytics Engineer will also be responsible for optimizing SQL queries and data models to improve reporting and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data needs are met efficiently.

As the successful candidate, you will :

  • Design, build, and monitor scalable data pipelines that support business intelligence and advanced analytics
  • Extract, clean, transform, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources, including APIs, cloud platforms, and internal systems across different lines of business
  • Create and manage a centralized data warehouse. This includes designing and implementing data models that support self-service analytics in tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Perform SQL query optimization to improve performance, reduce latency, and enable faster reporting
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing automated testing, monitoring, and validation routines
  • Support and maintain the current business data infrastructure while contributing to the transformation and scalability of new data architecture initiatives
  • Maintain clear documentation of data processes, pipelines, and business logic to support knowledge sharing and ongoing team development

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or a related field
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Analytics with a strong foundation in data modelling & SQL
  • You have Azure experience along with technologies such as Redshift, S2, Synapse, Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop etc.
  • You have experience with scripting and data manipulation languages such as SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Java
  • You have experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau and / or Power BI
  • You have experience with DevOps concepts and tools, such as building CI / CD pipelines along with an understanding of SDLC and Agile Frameworks
  • You have strong business partnering skills working with different teams and stakeholders
  • You have excellent analytical skills, assessing factors and developing innovative and practical solutions to achieve department goals
