Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity available for an Analytics Data Specialist to join our Strategy and Management team. Reporting to the Manager, Analytics, you will be responsible for championing the development of best practice data acquisition, data movement, and data modeling, with the goal of providing valuable business insights through an enterprise Analytics centre-of-excellence.

What you’ll do :
- Design and build scalable, high-performing business-centric data models.
- Design processes to automate the throughput of data from source to report.
- Extend the company’s cloud data warehouse with internal and third-party sources of information when needed.
- Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Assist in design and data maintenance of the Data Warehouse (DW), Data Marts (DM), and other Data Stores.
- Support Analytics change management across the organization.
- Support Analytics interaction with third parties and services related to data-driven activities and tools.
- Identify backup and archive strategies.
- Ensure operational activities are completed daily, weekly, and monthly, and troubleshoot when required.
What we’re looking for :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with 10+ years’ experience in ETL development.
- Strong experience in database technologies (SQL Server, Azure DB); data warehousing; PowerShell scripting; ETL/ELT (SSIS) development and deployment; cloud platform-as-a-service; and programming languages such as Python and R.
- Experience working on small to large business and system projects, focusing on Data Analytics, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of IT concepts, standards, procedures, and policies, including requirement analysis and modeling tools and techniques.
- Creative thinker with the ability to see the big picture.
- Results-oriented with a focus on quality.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, technical environment, capable of handling multiple demands and priorities.
- Ability to work onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, supporting our hybrid work model.
