Home Hardware Stores Limited in Ontario is seeking an Analytics Data Specialist to build scalable data products and empower enterprise analytics. You will champion data governance, design lakehouse architectures, and deliver trusted insights that drive measurable business outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in data analytics or engineering, strong cloud experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL, and fluency in PySpark, SQL, Python and R.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Five+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL).
• Strong experience with data engineering and analytics languages (PySpark, SQL, Python, R).
• Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, Azure SQL), PowerShell scripting, and ETL/ELT processes (SSIS).
• Experience with cloud platforms and automation/CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture, including medallion architecture and data governance practices.
• Experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions (Power BI, data ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data products within Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystems.
• Develop and maintain lakehouse and warehouse data architectures for enterprise analytics.
• Design and optimize semantic models for consistent reporting and analytics.
• Develop automated data pipelines and workflows using Fabric Data Factory and Azure services.
• Implement scalable data transformations to standardize data curation and modeling for analytics.
• Ensure data quality, integrity and reliability across datasets.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to deliver high-quality data solutions and enable adoption of enterprise data products.
• Support data governance and master data management through data standards and lineage tracking.
