Job summary

A leading biopharmaceutical solutions organization is seeking an Analytical Scientist to support routine sample analysis in the laboratory. Responsibilities include processing biological samples, ensuring compliance with standard procedures, and assisting in bioanalytical issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Science, good computer skills, and some understanding of analytical chemistry. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or College Degree in Science.
  • Good computer skills especially in using Microsoft Word, Excel and analytical software.
  • Basic understanding of the requirements of analytical chemistry.
  • English level (Quebec specific) with required bilingualism.
  • Relative alternative certification may be considered acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform activities related to processing and analyzing biological samples.
  • Document activities related to sample analysis and assist in verifying documents.
  • Initiate analysis runs using appropriate instruments and software.
  • Follow up on result analysis and assist in solving bioanalytical issues.
  • Assist in eliminating chemical and biological waste and clean laboratory equipment.
  • Perform support tasks to meet laboratory users' needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Operating Guidelines, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or College Degree in Science.
  • Must demonstrate good computer skills especially in the utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel and analytical software.
  • Basic understanding of the requirements of analytical chemistry.
  • English level (Quebec specific); required bilingualism includes understanding simple messages and following basic instructions.
  • Relative alternative certification may be considered acceptable.
