Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

  • Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to learn relevant professional knowledge and software.
  • Good awareness of laboratory regulations, safety and sample handling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and cooperate with team.
  • Experience with LC-MS, biological sample analysis and omics is a plus.
  • Experience in analytical chemistry research lab is a plus.

Role Overview

As an Analytical Chemist at NovaMT, you will be responsible for performing routine analyses for service and providing research support to the Research & Development department. The successful candidates must have the ability to carry out analytical experiments in the lab, produce professional documents and reports and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Following established standard operation procedures to routinely analyze compounds and samples with LC-MS and other related methods.
  • Participating in developing, optimizing and validating novel LC-MS based analytical techniques, especially for metabolomics and lipidomics.
  • Processing data with specialized software.
  • Assisting in preparing product or service related documents, including standard operation procedures, service reports, products information, etc.
  • Supporting regular laboratory and office activities.
Skill and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or other related fields.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong learning ability to acquire relevant professional knowledge, skills and software.
  • Good awareness of laboratory regulatory and safety requirements, good laboratory practices, handling of biological samples, and basic hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and cooperate with other team members.
  • Experience with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, biological sample analysis and omics technology would be an asset.
  • Experience in analytical chemistry research lab would be an asset.
