Job summary

TMX Group in Montreal invites an Intern Analyst, Model Validation to gain practical experience, supporting the team across quantitative initiatives. Working under guidance of senior members, you will assist with data cleansing, database maintenance, and automation of workflows while learning model governance fundamentals.

This four-month internship runs January 4 through April 30, 2027, with a hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days in office).

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and provide in-depth written reports and recommendations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Model Validation team with data management, cleansing, and optimization to maintain reliable analytics pipelines.
• Assist with research, regulatory analysis, and exploratory data analysis under senior mentorship.
• Help automate manual workflows using Python, SQL, or Matlab and document model validation work.

Working under the guidance and mentorship of senior team members, you will be involved in tasks including assisting with research and regulatory analysis, data cleansing, database maintenance and optimization, and automating manual workflows.
