Main responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director General, the Investment Analyst/Expert performs complex tasks requiring advanced expertise in finance, with significant impacts on the FSST's financial situation. Specifically, the role involves monitoring activities of the DGPEF, analyzing portfolio risks, and ensuring compliance with policies. The analyst collaborates closely with the policy development and performance monitoring teams and contributes to developing and sharing investment expertise within the organization.
Salary range: $79,663 to $110,820
This salary corresponds to 110% of the level for an 'expert' complexity designation. Upon completion of the designation, the employee reverts to the standard salary scale.

The following are required for your application to be considered:
Education
A master's degree in finance with at least 45 credits. Candidates in their final year may be considered. Additional relevant education or degrees totaling at least 90 credits or a master's in a relevant field can compensate for missing credits.
Professional titles such as CFA, CAIA, FRM, PRM (or in progress) are required.
At least five years of relevant professional experience, including six months in complex tasks ('expert' level).
For foreign degrees, an equivalency assessment from the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, Francisation, and Integration is required, with documentation submitted during application.
Citizenship or legal work status in Canada is required, with proof to be provided upon employment.
Proficiency in French appropriate to the role.
Additional profile elements:
Experience managing a multi-asset institutional portfolio, understanding international financial markets and economics, and conducting financial analyses of companies. Rigorous, autonomous, analytical, and good at synthesis. Strong writing, oral communication, and English skills. Good quantitative and IT skills.
