Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Demand Planning, the Demand Planning Senior Analyst develops and manages forecasting plans for regular and promotional volumes on existing and new products by SKU, category, customer and location. Responsibilities include maintaining required business and system parameters in the forecasting environment for preparing accurate and timely projections in units, dollars and equivalent size units. This role assists the Procurement Operations team in collaborating with customers on forecast quantities and commitments on past and upcoming inventories. Additionally, this role is responsible for working closely with the Procurement Strategy team in communicating and validating forecast volumes by SKU and at aggregate levels.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

Forecasting (70%)

Analyzes historical data and define key assumptions to generate, manage, and calibrate a statistical baseline forecast for all SKUs, categories, customers, and location hierarchy levels.

Captures sales forecasts and identify market trends to adjust demand based on SKU selection and pricing.

Revises key assumptions and adjusts demand plan based on past events, progressive quantitative analysis, and inputs from vendors and customers.

Exchanges information with the Procurement Strategy, Supply Solutions and Hospital Distribution Solutions teams and makes proper adjustment to the forecast to reflect changes in contracts and shortages on the market.

In collaboration with Account Management and customers, implements joint business plans including projected volumes and commitments on inventories.

Liaises with Account Management, customers, and suppliers to investigate gaps between forecasts, planned commitments and actuals.

Responsible for achieving alignment on a single forecast number (SKU and aggregate) with vendors and customers.

Revenue Generation Support and & Execution Support (5%)

Prepares assumption-based projections to help the management team understand forecast rationale for vendor and customer negotiations.

Provides Distribution Center (DC) Operations with projections on DC capacity risks at aggregate levels in appropriate units of measure.

Section B – General Responsibilities

Other (5%)

Maintains relevant business knowledge of product categories and stays abreast of market and industry trends and conditions.

Acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate values.

Section C – Position Requirements

Working Experience

7 years experience in a related demand planning role (JDA Forecasting System experience an important asset)

Experience in Retail / Wholesale / Cosmetics / Over the Counter / Food.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.

High level of integrity, showing ability to challenge opinions.

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent partnering skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to collaborate with various levels of management and employees.

Technical Skills

Perfectly bilingual, both written and spoken.

Proficiency with ERP systems, planning systems, and replenishment systems an asset.

Knowledge of forecasting processes, forecasting systems and statistical analysis.

Sous la direction du chef principal, planification de la demande, l’analyste senior, planification de la demande, crée et gère les plans de prévisions des volumes de produits standards et promotionnels, existants et nouveaux selon leur UGS, catégorie, client et emplacement. Les responsabilités comprennent le maintien des paramètres d’affaires et de systèmes requis dans l’environnement de prévisions pour la préparation précise et rapide de projections en unités et en dollars. Cette personne aide l’équipe des opérations de l’approvisionnement à collaborer avec les clients sur les quantités prévues et les engagements sur les stocks passés et futurs. De plus, la personne titulaire du poste a la responsabilité de travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de la stratégie d'approvisionnement afin de communiquer et de valider les volumes de prévisions par UGS et de façon globale.

Section A – Responsabilités spécifiques

Prévisions (70%)

  • Analyser les données historiques et dégager les principales hypothèses dans le but de produire, gérer et étalonner des prévisions financières statistiques de référence pour l’ensemble des UGS, des catégories et des clients.

  • Comprendre les prévisions des ventes et repérer les tendances du marché afin d’adapter la demande en fonction de la gamme et du prix des UGS.

  • Réviser les principales hypothèses et ajuster le plan de la demande en fonction des événements passés, des analyses quantitatives progressives et des données provenant des fournisseurs et clients.

Planification concertée (20%)

  • Échanger de l’information avec l’équipe de la stratégie d’approvisionnement, de solutions d’approvisionnement et de solutions de distribution des hôpitaux afin d’ajuster les prévisions et refléter les changements relatifs aux différents contrats et aux pénuries du marché

  • En collaboration avec l’équipe de gestion des comptes et les clients, implanter des plans d’affaires conjoints intégrant les volumes projetés et les engagements en matière de stocks.

  • Assurer la liaison avec l’équipe de gestion des comptes, les clients et les fournisseurs afin d’explorer les écarts entre les prévisions et les engagements planifiés et réels.

  • Veiller à l’obtention d’un chiffre de prévision unique (UGS et total) avec les fournisseurs et clients.

Soutien à la génération de revenus et à l’exécution (5%)

  • Préparer les prévisions afin d’aider l’équipe de gestion aux négociations avec les fournisseurs et les clients.

  • Fournir aux opérations des centres de distribution (CD) des prévisions et leurs impacts sur la capacité.

Expérience de travail

  • 7 ans d’expérience dans un rôle connexe de planification de la demande (expérience avec le système de Gestion de la Demand JDA un atout important).

  • Expérience dans le détail, la vente en gros, les cosmétiques, les produits en vente libre ou l’alimentation.

Éducation

  • Baccalauréat en gestion des opérations, en ingénierie, en administration des affaires ou dans une discipline connexe.
