Job Description

Within the financial accounting team, the individual plays a key role in analyzing and preparing financial information at the corporate level. With a background in financial accounting, they have the opportunity to contribute to the team's analytical culture and support the financial management through value-added financial analyses. Their contribution helps provide key financial information to senior management and external stakeholders, enabling performance evaluation. They also participate in evolving the financial reporting processes, bringing their expertise to a dynamic and innovative team.

What you will do

  • Participate in the monthly closing process and perform key controls of the accounting records;
  • Assist in the quarterly preparation of consolidated financial statements and those of the general fund, including related notes;
  • Contribute to the preparation and validation of financial information for various corporate deliverables (annual report, press releases, parliamentary submissions, offering memoranda, and other external documents);
  • Collaborate with external auditors by providing documentation and explanations;
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and pursue ongoing automation initiatives to leverage technological tools and enhance the quality of consolidated financial information;
  • Contribute to the effective use of financial management systems and technological tools for detailed financial analysis;
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and participate in special projects.

What you bring

  • University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
  • CPA or CFA designation;
  • One to three years of relevant experience;
  • Proficiency with IT systems, technology, and data analysis;
  • Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel applications;
  • Knowledge of Power BI; an asset;
  • Fluent in French and English, both oral and written.
