Why this role is important?

Under the responsibility of the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Pricing, you will analyze and develop pricing strategies and tactics for prescription medications by province or patient group to maximize profit margins while supporting strategic, legislative, and contractual requirements. You will identify profit margin opportunities and analyze impacts to aid decision-making. Pricing recommendations are developed and implemented with the support of the Operations teams and other pharmacy department teams.

Your role:

  1. Determine profit margin opportunities by province and payer, providing detailed profit analyses to support initiatives, including regulatory risk identification.
  2. Develop analytical tools (reports, graphs, etc.) for colleagues and management to illustrate the actual and potential impact of pricing initiatives.
  3. Monitor and execute pricing strategies.
  4. Establish pricing structures for new business acquisitions and new pharmacy openings.
  5. Collaborate with the SDM / PHX professional affairs team to evaluate the impact of public and private contract changes on our pricing structure and provide recommendations during negotiations.
  6. Work directly with stores to resolve issues related to prescription pricing policies.

Position requirements:

  • Bilingualism essential (French and English), oral and written.
  • University degree in commerce, business administration, finance, mathematics, or statistics.
  • Excellent analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulousness, and rigor.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills using SQL, Excel, Access, or related tools.
  • Experience preferred in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.

Position available in Montreal or Toronto office.
