Job description

Title : Supply Chain Business Analyst - Events

Position Overview :

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the IPR Events team and delivering on the team’s projects and initiatives that will benefit The Home Depot. Inventory, Planning, & Replenishment (IPR) is part of Home Depot Canada’s supply chain. The Business Analyst has the responsibility to advise and assist in execution of department level forecasting and replenishment strategies for both core and non-core products, ensuring consistent and accurate execution by the forecast and replenishment analysts.

The Business Analyst will focus on supporting instock troubleshooting and inventory recovery for Flyer, Events, and Offshelf. They will also be expected to deliver complex analytics to support business objectives and data-driven decision making. The successful candidate needs to be a team player with strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Workday and Workforce management

  • Use problem solving and analytical skills to determine root causes and action plans for Event and Flyer instock issues.
  • Perform financial analysis and review sales metrics (turns, sales, gross margin, etc.) to support forecast and replenishment decisions.
  • Support the development and refinement of processes and best practices related to Offshelf and Events.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses for business decision-making.

Project Management

  • Perform complex analytics and provide recommendations based on supply chain principles.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and suggest changes.
  • Consult on IT-driven projects to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives.

Partnering

  • Provide key reporting and tactical support to IPR, Merchandising, Logistics, and Senior Management, tracking KPIs weekly and monthly.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising to ensure appropriate load-in strategies for Events and respond to promotional risks.
  • Coordinate activities of analysts to support large Events.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus, business acumen, and results-oriented approach.

Additional skills include being self-directed, able to work with limited supervision, and capable of leading cross-functional teams to resolve challenging supply chain problems.
