Job Description

As a Senior Data Analyst within the Investigation Services team, you will support our efforts to detect and prevent fraudulent claims in group insurance by applying advanced data analysis techniques. Working closely with investigation advisors, you will leverage your analytical expertise to identify patterns, detect anomalies, and promote evidence-based decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analytics professional passionate about using data to combat fraud and abuse, helping protect the integrity of our clients’ programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and suspicious patterns that may indicate fraudulent activity.
  • Generate investigation leads and collaborate with investigation advisors to validate and prioritize these leads within their workflow.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports summarizing investigation activity, outcomes, and fraud trends.
  • Design and develop new dashboards and automated reports to monitor key performance indicators and uncover emerging fraud patterns.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tools and systems used by the Investigation Services team, providing support, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Work closely with internal teams and select external partners to deliver ad hoc reports supporting anti-fraud initiatives and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of dental health claims.
  • Maintain and improve data quality, integrity, and accessibility through best practices in data governance and documentation.
  • Contribute to the implementation of future analytics tools and support advisors in their use.
  • Stay informed about industry trends in analytics and artificial intelligence, and recommend innovations when appropriate.

  • University degree in computer science, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.

  • Proficiency with data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and clearly communicate findings to a business audience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit. Demonstrates initiative and autonomy.
  • Intermediate level of French, both spoken and written, is required due to weekly tasks that must be carried out in French. These tasks include verbal communication via videoconference to lead meetings, as well as the use of tools and the writing of emails with French-speaking partners.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection principles or experience working in a fraud prevention, compliance, or investigative environment is considered a major asset
