Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a Canada-based company listing the role of Analyste, comptabilité financière. You will contribute to financial operations, close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring while supporting reporting and decision-making across the Canadian division.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA is an asset.
  • 3–5 years of accounting/finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of monthly close and reconciliations.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • ERP experience with NetSuite or Oracle; Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

  • Record financial transactions accurately and maintain data integrity.
  • Participate in monthly close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Analyze cost of goods, margins, and key financial KPIs.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Produce ad hoc financial reports for management decisions.
  • Identify improvements to processes, controls, and workflows.
  • Manage accounting related to SR&ED claims and documentation.
  • Support year-end activities and auditor requests.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations to ensure accurate reporting.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analyste, comptabilité financière based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the financial operations of a growing Canadian division.
You will help ensure accurate, reliable financial information while supporting reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
Working closely with finance and operational teams, you will contribute to both recurring accounting activities and strategic financial analysis.
The position combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with opportunities to improve processes and financial efficiency.
You will play an important role in monthly close activities, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.

Accountabilities
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain the reliability and integrity of financial information.
  • Participate in the monthly closing process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and period-end analysis.
  • Analyze cost of goods, margins, and key financial performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for leadership.
  • Contribute to budgeting and financial forecasting processes, including variance analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Produce financial reports and ad hoc analyses to support management decision-making.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and workflows to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Manage the accounting component of SR&ED claims and prepare the required financial documentation.
  • Support year-end activities and prepare documentation and information requested by external auditors.
  • Collaborate effectively with finance and operational stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and smooth financial operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation or progress toward obtaining the CPA is considered an asset.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial control, or a related finance function.
  • Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, monthly closing procedures, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or an equivalent ERP system.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a growing environment.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to different stakeholders.
  • Proactive, structured, collaborative, and results-oriented mindset.
