About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Treasury Operations, for Brookfield Renewable’s Business Service Group, the Finance Analyst will participate in the day-to-day activities of Treasury operations, bank account management, and support process improvement initiatives. The Group is responsible for capital planning, managing the Company’s credit facilities and long-term debt portfolio, and executing large value and/or critical wire payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the updates to the treasury system for bank migrations, mergers and acquisitions and refinancing projects to reflect new payment data, and new bank accounts (opening, closing)
  • Working with financial institutions in several geographical locations to manage account and related product activity, servicing the 500+ Brookfield Renewable bank accounts
  • Supporting the treasury team with ad hoc projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment (wire payment requests, loan drawdown documents, capital planning, and cash flow forecasts)
  • Assisting in the administration of the treasury management system, updating for new debts and other financial instruments like commercial paper, letters of credit, and interest rate swaps

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • University degree in business or related field (Accounting/Finance)
  • Accounting/finance designation (CFA, CPA or CTP) or pursuit of accounting/finance designation is an asset
  • Experience in a treasury related function is an asset
  • Experience using or configuring a treasury management system is an asset
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical abilities required
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint; ability to learn how to use new systems quickly
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to deal professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to think and work independently and be proactive in using internal and external resources to achieve results

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
