Job description

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is a leading content provider, producing and distributing content worldwide across various genres and platforms. SPE manages a large library of award-winning films, television shows, and formats, and operates a thriving global content business.

Sony Pictures Entertainment Canada manages digital revenue (EST/VOD), physical retail sales, and online retail sales for SPE’s content across Canadian digital and physical retailers.

The Sales Planning and Operations team sets and executes product distribution strategies, supports negotiations, and manages the sales process.

Our Canada office is seeking an Analyst to support TV Distribution, Digital Home Entertainment, and Physical Home Entertainment. This role reports to the Manager of Sales Planning. The ideal candidate has experience in TV Distribution or a media role with knowledge of the broadcast landscape and platforms. Attention to detail, quick learning ability, and adaptability are essential.

Responsibilities

TV Distribution Support:

  • Coordinate with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to complete contracts, invoices, and deliveries efficiently.
  • Accurately enter Canadian TV Distribution deals into rights management and financial systems.
  • Gather backup materials for approval and audit purposes.

TV Distribution Inventory Management and Avails:

  • Collaborate with Senior Sales Planning to create bespoke availability lists that meet client and sales needs.
  • Track product inventory, maintain lists, and normalize data for financial tracking and revenue analysis.

Material Availability Liaison:

  • Coordinate between clients and the Materials Delivery Group regarding pending deals and material availability.
  • Maintain logs for French dubs and other metadata.

TV Distribution Reporting:

  • Create and share daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Monitor contractual obligations and deadlines.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports as needed.

Digital Home Entertainment Support:

  • Maintain sales trackers.
  • Manage promo submissions and account uploads.
  • Handle internal system uploads and data management.

Physical Home Entertainment Support:

  • Register physical titles with the Quebec Regie and track costs.
  • Obtain ratings from provincial boards.
  • Update metadata in systems.
  • Oversee promo orders.
