POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is located at our Yonge Eglinton Centre Office. Reporting to the AVP, RioCan Living Asset Management, this position will serve as the asset manager to a portfolio of RioCan Living mixed-use and residential properties, assist with reporting to senior management and partners, review the performance of operating properties and development projects and the preparation of budgets, reforecasts, funding requests and other important project documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide asset management services to a portfolio of mixed-use development and IPP properties inclusive of review and analysis of monthly statements and reports, coordination with property management and leasing teams, and identification/resolution of property issues (e.g. ancillary revenue opportunities, utility management, etc…);
  • Contribute to the preparation of operating budgets, reforecasts and strategic plans for individual properties and partners to support decision-making in the portfolio;
  • Prepare Development Management and Property Management Reports as per Partner Agreement requirements, including coordinating and reviewing the inputs of other RioCan departments;
  • Prepare and review monthly project draws and funding needs prior to transmission to partner;
  • Provide statistics, reports and financial analysis for various departments, including but not limited to residential condominium sales reports;
  • Support Real Estate Finance for all project lending, underwriting requirements;
  • Assist in verifying project information for quarterly REIT reporting;
  • Support the AVP, RioCan Living Asset Management with analytical, reporting, research and administrative work;
  • Set up and coordinate meetings, prepare meeting materials;
  • Perform financial analysis on the performance of operating and development opportunities;
  • Create memos and other internal communication;
  • Other duties / projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University or College degree/diploma in Business or Finance;
  • Minimum 2 years of previous relevant experience;
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Access and Outlook;
  • Familiarity with Yardi;
  • Proven organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines;
  • Sound analytical skills;
  • Ability to read and interpret complex materials;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
