As a member of Global Transaction Banking (GTB), CIBC Capital Markets, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment supporting global bank clients by providing innovative solutions to manage excess liquidity, offer Canadian Dollar clearing services, and build relationships to understand their capital markets needs and anticipate future requirements for CIBC products and services.
The Analyst, Relationship Management – Global Banks position involves assisting in managing a portfolio of foreign bank clients operating in North America. You will support senior team members in managing relationships, understanding client needs, and collaborating with internal partners (Legal, Risk, Global Money Operations, AML) to mitigate risks. You will also work with product teams in Correspondent Banking, Trade Finance, and Global Cash Management to prepare client strategies and account plans, participate in client meetings, and support inquiries related to sales, service, and payments.
Note: We are open to considering Associates for this role based on experience.
This role requires on-site full-time work to enable optimal productivity.
Client relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to identify sales opportunities for payment, deposit, and Capital Markets products.
Collaboration: Work with product teams to identify opportunities, close deals, and strengthen relationships.
Communication: Convey a clear understanding of bank clients' needs.
Initiatives: Take on new opportunities with energy and build relationships internally and externally.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in commerce or related field; graduate degrees (MBA, CA, CFA) are assets.
Experience: 2-4 years in corporate banking or transactional services with strong product knowledge.
Knowledge: Familiarity with capital markets products and transactional services like payments and cash management.
Client focus: Prioritize client needs and engage purposefully.
Teamwork: Value collaboration and collective success.
Attention to detail: Use critical thinking for decision-making.

Technical skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
