Reporting to the Director of Project Controls, the Project Controls Analyst will:
- Provide project controls support to ongoing projects and assist the estimating and construction teams in implementing the project controls system.
- Develop and maintain data, dashboards, KPIs, and predictive analytics for Utilities projects.
What You'll Do Here :
- Participate in establishing and maintaining the company’s project cost control systems.
- Assist in setting up project WBS, cost codes, and baseline budgets.
- Monitor project performance and ensure proper system implementation.
- Train project staff on change management procedures.
- Provide management with project controls reports and analyses.
- Review contracts to ensure compliance with invoicing and reporting requirements.
- Set up and control project structure (WBS) and cost structure (CBS).
- Coordinate between estimating and site teams for system implementation.
- Monitor change management processes on site and ensure proper tracking.
- Ensure staff understand the cost code structure and charge hours correctly.
- Analyze project controls reports and suggest corrective actions.
- Review scheduling and cost reports for project performance.
- Prepare and update project cash flows.
- Supervise and mentor junior Project Controls Analysts.
- Assist in preparing project reports and forecasts.
- Support schedule development and maintenance.

What You Will Bring to the Team :
- Knowledge of Earned Value principles.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as MS Excel, Power Query, SAP, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate.
- Experience automating data flows and setting up data pipelines is an asset.
- Knowledge of SQL & Python is an asset.
- Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and analytics.
- Ability to interpret schedules and reports.
- 2 to 3 years of related experience.
- Understanding of cost engineering and cost control.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
- Willingness to learn and advance technical knowledge.
- Detail-oriented and customer-focused.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hydro and Utilities experience is a plus.
- Post-secondary education in engineering or commerce.
- Flexible work schedule and willingness to travel.
- Valid driver’s license.
