Analyst Product Transitions Management

Connor Clark & Lunn Financial Group Ltd.

The Product Transitions team is responsible for coordinating the operational setup, launch, and restructuring of our Canadian, US, and global funds for eleven institutional investment managers. The team creates and executes transition plans using a structured and tailored approach by understanding client needs, investment managers, investment strategies, and operational requirements. The team manages over 100 transitions annually.

What You Will Do

  • Lead onboarding and relationship management of prime brokers and trading counterparties across Canadian, US, and global markets.
  • Coordinate broker account openings and documentation for new trading relationships, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle, including KYC / AML processes, legal agreements, and operational setup.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external counterparties to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing relationship support.
  • Support fund and market opening initiatives by aligning counterparty capabilities with investment strategies.
  • Monitor and respond to evolving global market access requirements and trading regulations.
  • Participate in product and operational meetings to provide updates on onboarding progress and counterparty developments.
  • Utilize Smartsheet, SharePoint, Counterparty Manager, and Excel for project tracking, reporting, and coordination of deliverables.
  • Maintain onboarding tools, project plans, and documentation to ensure transparency and audit readiness.

What You Bring

  • Industry Knowledge: 3 years of experience in an investment, finance, or banking role. Experience with investment products and knowledge of domestic and foreign financial markets and funds is an asset.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative and team-oriented approach. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, comfortable with both collaborative and direct communication.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to provide succinct written and verbal communication. Confident in expressing opinions and making decisions.
  • Critical Thinking & Reasoning: Analytical and creative mindset. Skilled at solving problems and making sound decisions under pressure.
