What Is in It for You : Private Fixed Income Operations is a department within the Investment Services and Operations area at SLC Management responsible for administration and reporting of non-public investments and loans globally. The investment portfolio of approximately $41 billion includes bonds, debentures, limited partnerships, lease securitization, and project financing.

The Analyst, Private Fixed Income Operations (Initiatives), is part of a team supporting the Global Private Fixed Income Portfolio from a Project perspective. This includes initiatives such as process updates, system upgrades, Robotic Process Automations, data integrity, and process improvements through the Brighter Way framework. The role involves working closely with internal partners and PFI SMEs to support portfolios on systems like Enterprise!, Aladdin, and PAM, understanding all aspects of the PFI business from setup to reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :
  1. Collaborate with Investment Front Office to process loan fundings, set up and settle transactions, and disburse funds.
  2. Process income payments and manage fund disbursements from client accounts.
  3. Investigate and resolve variances through daily reconciliations.
  4. Address issues related to cash movement, wire disbursements, and swap mismatches.
  5. Monitor and process activity for managed funds, considering their time sensitivity.
  6. Assist with operational tasks like preparing daily cash projections and cash transfer requests.
  7. Partner with team members and internal areas to ensure deliverables are met.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED :
  • Experience in an Investment or Finance role preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, vlookups, and pivot tables.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Client-focused mindset with a collaborative approach.
PREFERRED SKILLS :
  • Experience in an Investment or Finance administrative role is an asset.
  • Availability for work on certain days/months for project support.
  • Willingness to work statutory holidays and outside core hours for testing and implementation.
