Job Description

The Promotions and Pricing Analyst is an integral role of the Merchandise Services team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Merchandise Services. The Merchandise Services team is responsible for supporting Business teams by creating process infrastructure and developing in-depth business reporting that aim to improve experience of Devoted Pet Lovers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Drive the maintenance of regular reporting and produce Ad Hoc reporting to enable analysis and evaluation of business performance and pricing
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the development and delivery of high quality, and accurate forecasting and reporting of promotional activities
  • Develop and maintain sell-through and markdown reports for seasonal programs and unproductive inventory
  • Learn business processes and requirements to help develop new analytics reporting that provide meaningful insights to Business teams
  • Retrieve and aggregate large quantities of complex data from single or multiple sources to compile into usable and actionable information
  • Work with internal stakeholders and 3rd party partners to improve the quality of applications
  • Identify process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existing metrics, analyzing data, and partnering with internal teams

Experience, Education, Certifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in an analyst role
  • Strong mix of information systems and merchandising business process
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, etc.), and entire suite of Office products
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, and Tableau or Power BI
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills to convey key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms and an ability to effectively communicate with technical teams
