Join us as an Analyst, Pricing & Promotions at Pet Valu

The Promotions and Pricing Analyst plays a vital role within the Merchandise Services team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Merchandise Services. This team supports business initiatives by creating process infrastructure and developing comprehensive business reports aimed at enhancing the experience of Devoted Pet Lovers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain regular reports and produce ad hoc analyses to evaluate business performance and pricing strategies.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver accurate forecasting and reporting of promotional activities.
3. Develop and maintain sell-through and markdown reports for seasonal programs and unproductive inventory.
4. Learn and understand business processes to develop new analytics reports that provide meaningful insights to the team.
5. Aggregate large, complex datasets from various sources to create actionable information.
6. Work with internal teams and third-party partners to enhance application quality.
7. Identify opportunities for process and system improvements by monitoring metrics and analyzing data.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in an analyst role.
• Strong knowledge of information systems and merchandising processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, etc.) and the full Office suite.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex insights effectively.
