About the role: Reporting to the Manager, Policy Risk, the primary responsibility of the Policy Risk Analyst is to evaluate the potential insurance risks associated with pet health insurance policies. This involves examining veterinary medical records and making necessary policy adjustments, including adding or modifying exclusions. The role is vital in maintaining acceptable risk levels for Petline Insurance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review veterinary records to identify risks and adjust policies accordingly.
  • Support risk assessments with guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Engage with management and veterinary directors on complex risks and customer concerns.
  • Communicate policy risk assessment results effectively to customers and veterinary staff.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary and insurance regulations and standards.
  • Stay updated on veterinary medicine trends and regulatory changes.
  • Propose workflow improvements and participate in continuous education and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Veterinary Technology program.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary practice, preferably small animals.
  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating professionalism and critical thinking.
