Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our Pharmacy Service Analytics team. This role is critical in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports that drive insights into patient health outcomes and eligibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for data analysis, report development, and statistical assessments, leveraging expertise in health and pharmacy data.

Reporting to the Senior Manager on Pharmacy Services Analytics team, you will analyze and develop reports on patient eligibility and health outcomes while supporting strategic initiatives. You will identify opportunities and conduct impact analysis to provide supporting documentation and individualized location/customer impact reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain various KPI dashboards and reports to identify and track pharmacy program eligibility and outcomes following service delivery.
  2. Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
  3. Develop and automate reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
  4. Conduct statistical analysis and apply data modeling techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in pharmacy and patient data.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pharmacy operations, finance, and IT, to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
  6. Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance by implementing validation processes and best practices.
  7. Interpret complex health and pharmacy data to inform business decisions and support program development.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to pharmacy analytics and healthcare data management.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance analytics.
  3. Advanced SQL programming skills (query optimization, stored procedures, complex joins, CTEs, etc.).
  4. Expertise in statistics, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and experimental design is an asset.
  5. Proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, VBA, data visualization tools).
  6. Ability to translate data into meaningful insights and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  9. Understanding the healthcare domain, with a passion and desire to make a positive impact is a plus.
  10. Experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports is an asset.
  11. Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and automation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working with healthcare claims data, pharmacy data, or electronic medical records (EMRs) is an asset.
  2. Experience in statistical analysis using tools like Python, R, or SAS is an asset.
  3. Knowledge of machine learning techniques for healthcare analytics is an asset.
  4. Knowledge of pharmacy industry and health services is an asset.
