Job description

Position Type: Full-time, 12-month contractual position

The Parts Pricing Analyst will assist in the creation and implementation of parts pricing strategies based on market conditions and internal priorities that contribute to the company’s competitiveness and profitability. The incumbent will assist the After Sales area in analytics & reporting, projects, studies, and other duties that assist in parts revenue management. This is a full-time, 12-month contractual position.

  • Maintain and review data from Kia Canada suppliers to support parts pricing. This includes managing incoming supplier price changes to reset Kia Canada’s price structure for dealers at their cost and at retail
  • Maintain Kia Canada and dealer gross profit margin objectives by using pricing simulations, and system resources to determine required parts pricing
  • Work with other company stakeholders in Service and After Sales like Warranty Management to maintain pricing structure between warranty and retail levels in pricing strategy
  • Conduct ongoing competitive parts pricing studies with outside support to measure against the aftermarket competitors as to pricing position
  • Set and issue the Kia Canada parts price book and relevant service provider tapes to ensure for accurate and timely dealer invoicing
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Environmental Handling Charge, including its recovery mechanism, processes, and reporting, as well as its role in environmental stewardship and responsible resource management, is considered an asset
  • Address dealer and field inquiries to correct invoicing discrepancies with regards to parts price and credits
  • Produce and issue all assigned reports for area and/or department
  • Other key duties include sales data generation, fee submissions, and system updates as needed
  • Post-secondary education in Business administration or related field highly preferred
  • Experience of 2-3 years in an analytical role, and preferably in an automotive company
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills at all levels including presentations
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
