Job summary

MNP LLP in Vancouver is seeking an Analyst for Life Insurance Underwriting & Policy Service to support advisors, clients, and carriers from submission through to policy placement. This role emphasizes detailed underwriting, policy service processes and maintaining accuracy across CRM and carrier systems.

The position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. LLQP is a desirable qualification for this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in life insurance underwriting, new business, policy service or financial services administration preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage life insurance applications from submission through policy issue and settlement.
  • Order and track underwriting requirements, including medicals, APS reports, financial documentation, and inspections.
  • Follow up regularly with insurance carriers, advisors, clients, and underwriting teams to ensure files progress.
  • Review applications for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
  • Assist in preparing cover letters and supporting documentation for complex underwriting cases.
  • Maintain accurate notes and updates within CRM and carrier systems.
  • Year-End reporting as needed.
  • Coordinate delivery requirements and policy placement documentation.
  • Assist with policy changes, beneficiary updates, ownership changes, and other in-force service requests.
  • Respond to advisor and client inquiries regarding underwriting status and policy administration.
  • Work closely with advisors to prioritize urgent cases and manage timelines.
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient workflow across multiple carriers and cases.
  • Maintain tracking systems for pending underwriting and outstanding requirements.
  • Prepare reports and status updates for advisors.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurance carrier representatives.
  • Support ongoing improvements to underwriting and service processes.

Make an impact with our Life Insurance Underwriting & Policy Service team as an Analyst.We are looking for a detail-oriented and client-focused individual to join our underwriting and policy service team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys dealing with processes, communicating with advisors and insurance carriers, and helping move life insurance applications from submission through to policy placement.

The successful candidate will play a key role supporting advisors, clients, and insurance carriers throughout the underwriting process while ensuring a high level of professionalism, organization, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities
New Business & Underwriting Support
  • Manage life insurance applications from submission through policy issue and settlement

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of Canadian life insurance products and underwriting processes is considered a strong asset
  • Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) preferred
