Imperial Capital manages approximately US$3.5 billion in assets and works hands-on with management teams through a dedicated value creation team to scale its platforms and pursue disciplined add-on acquisitions.

Role Description

To support the firm’s continued growth, Imperial Capital is seeking an Analyst, Investor Development to support the firm’s investor coverage and fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Vice President, Investor Development, this individual will help manage and strengthen relationships across Imperial’s limited partner base by preparing investor-facing materials, coordinating LP inquiries, and maintaining accurate records across the investor lifecycle.

The role sits at the center of the firm’s investor coverage effort. The Analyst will prepare research and presentation materials, support live fundraising activity, and build a working knowledge of the LP base and the firm’s strategy. Success requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the judgment to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a development role. The Analyst will build deep familiarity with Imperial’s LP base and, as they earn it, take on direct responsibility for investor relationships over time.

Teamwork and discretion are essential. The Analyst will work closely with the Investor Development team, Investor Relations, and colleagues across finance, deal, and compliance to deliver timely, accurate support and ensure seamless investor coverage. This person will be based in Toronto.

Key Responsibility
  • Prepare LP-facing materials, including research, investor backgrounders, presentation decks, DDQs, and RFP responses.
  • Maintain accurate investor records and interaction history, and own data integrity in the CRM.
  • Build familiarity with the current LP base and the firm’s strategy, and develop a view of what an ideal LP for Imperial looks like.
  • Support investor events end to end, including road shows, LP dinners, and fundraising events, covering logistics, invitations, and on-site coordination.
  • Produce and format investor presentations and marketing collateral in coordination with Investor Relations.
  • Support the team with preparation and quality of investor reporting and updates, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate brings a strong service orientation, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit to the Investor Development team. This individual will:

  • Demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and accountability in completing assigned work.
  • Support the firm’s relationship management goals by ensuring background work, documentation, and records are accurate and timely.
  • Maintain discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Contribute openly in a collaborative team environment, sharing information and supporting colleagues toward common objectives.
  • Exhibit a solutions-oriented mindset, raising questions and offering ideas that improve efficiency and impact.
Additional Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in investor relations, private wealth or multi-family-office client service, fund/client services, capital markets, or a rotational analyst program at a bank or asset manager.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with numeracy and a client-service instinct.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or DealCloud); exposure to fund reporting (e.g., Cambridge) and LP databases (e.g., Preqin, Dakota) is an asset.
  • Professional maturity, integrity, and an eagerness to learn and grow within the Investor Development team.
Compensation & Additional Information:

The expected base salary range for this position is C$80,000 to C$95,000 on an annualized basis, plus a target annual bonus. All-in compensation may vary based on factors such as years of relative experience, education, and certifications.
