Job summary

Letko, Brosseau & Associates invites a motivated Analyst to join the Investment Services Team. The role focuses on supporting client servicing, assisting in business development efforts and preparing portfolio analysis and reports for institutional clients.

You'll contribute to performance attribution, capital markets writing and data updates, while liaising with colleagues across Canadian offices. A hybrid work model and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance or related field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Interest in pursuing CFA or CIM designation preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with eVestment or Bloomberg is an asset.
  • Knowledge of institutional investment industry is an asset.
  • Professional presence with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Team player with initiative and adaptability.
  • Drafting documentation in French and English for Canadian/international clients.
  • Liaising with staff across Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated candidate to join our team. The Analyst role amongst our Investment Services Team is one that is dynamic and challenging, with a strong focus on both personal and professional growth. The team works in collaboration with all departments, contributing to the firm’s growth and increased standing as a global, independent investment manager that is always committed to acting ethically and serving clients’ best interests. The team’s mandate is to support existing client relationships and business development efforts.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Client servicing support: Support Investment Counsellors in the analysis & preparation of their client’s portfolios and custom research reports. Liaise with the investment management team to provide pertinent, current information on portfolio holdings to the investment services team.
  • Business development support: Respond to RFIs, RFPs and DDQs from consultants and other institutional prospective clients. Ensure consultant data is provided on a regular basis. Assist in customizing presentations for institutional prospects.
  • Performance analysis: develop performance attribution commentary and analysis for investment strategies sent to clients and prospects.
  • Capital markets writing: Support original content creation to enhance the quality of communication with clients.
  • Data sourcing: Updating institutional prospect and client collateral.
  • Competitive analysis: Create and maintain competitor intelligence profiles and landscapes.
  • Ad hoc: Working independently and within the team on ongoing strategic initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance or a related field.
  • Between 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • An interest in pursuing the CFA or CIM designation is preferred.
