Job summary

MNP is seeking an insolvency professional to assist with planning, delivery and analysis of consumer insolvency services in Regina, Canada. You will help administer formal insolvency appointments, review financial records, and build relationships with referral sources such as credit counsellors, lawyers, and accountants.

Your role includes preparing BIA documentation, identifying value-added opportunities for debtors, maintaining quality control, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is an asset.
  • Completion or willingness to enroll in the Insolvency Administration course and/or BIA Insolvency Counselor course.
  • 1 to 2 years of insolvency experience; professional services experience outside of insolvency will also be considered.
  • Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act would be considered an asset.

  • Contribute to the development of new ideas to improve work processes.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field
Insolvency Administration course / BIA Insolvency Counselor course
1–2 years insolvency experience
Knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with current and potential referral sources including credit counsellors, debt counsellors, lawyers, accountants, etc.
  • Prepare and review all relevant BIA documentation including Statements of Affairs, 170 Reports, Court Orders and Affidavits, Certificates of Discharge, Trustee’s Supplementary Reports to Court, Pre and Post Bankruptcy Tax Returns, Final Statements of Receipts and Disbursements, etc.
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to debtors; ensure debtor needs are met
  • Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the debtor
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset
