You will have the opportunity to develop your career in a friendly, collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring and formal learning. Our team is gender and culturally diverse, and we welcome people from a range of professional backgrounds, who share a passion for infrastructure delivery. We develop outstanding leaders who team to deliver on our promises to all our stakeholders, and in so doing, play a critical role in building a better working world for our people, for our clients and for our communities.

We advise through the full lifecycle of core infrastructure projects across Canada and globally, from strategy, policy and business case development, transactions, funding and financing, ongoing asset management, renewal and disposal. Our work is across asset classes including transportation (e.g., transit, highways, airports), energy, healthcare, environment (e.g., waste), mining, social infrastructure, and other public sector facilities.

Our practice is trusted by public and private sector entities as well as Indigenous communities for its expertise in strategy, commercial and risk advisory, financing, transaction structuring, modeling and management of procurement processes, as well as for advising through the full infrastructure lifecycle. We are regularly named by our industry peers as Infrastructure Financial Advisor of the Year in Canada and the Americas.

Your key responsibilities

As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work within our Infrastructure Advisory practice. You will have an integral role that involves working closely with other members of the rapidly growing national Infrastructure Advisory team to execute a variety of engagements. This work will entail working with colleagues to complete financial analyses, undertake research, produce written work products using MS Word and PowerPoint and provide advice to an array of clients.

Skills and attributes for success

You are:

  • Seeking a dynamic role with a mix of strategy, policy, commercial, financial and technical advisory
  • An analytical and creative thinker, who is self-motivated and intellectually curious
  • Enthusiastic, personable, and collaborative with a strong work ethic
  • Highly motivated and energized by participating in projects involving the development of critical national infrastructure assets that have a tangible and lasting impact on society
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, and flexible in your approach to supporting clients, and working with different stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and trusted to deliver. You are organized with strong self and team management skills, and able to simultaneously manage and execute on multiple assignments
  • Able to competently undertake thoughtful quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, with a willingness to learn or develop your analytical skills, and a strong level of technological literacy, including the construction of complex financial models
  • Able to research and analyze information from a range of sources including financial, commercial, public policy, academic and industry sources to be used in competitive analysis, industry analysis, financial and non-financial scenario analysis and negotiation support, and various other applications
  • Able to prepare clearly written, quality drafts of reports and presentations for client submissions and meetings
  • Interested in growing in terms of sales and business development, contributing to executing EY’s “go-to-market” client development strategy
To qualify for the role you must have
