Each day brings new challenges as you respond to client inquiries, analyze data, and provide strategic support to help solve complex problems. By leveraging data-driven insights, you'll collaborate closely with the analytical team and consultants, contributing to key decisions that drive meaningful outcomes for our clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct day-to-day problem solving support for clients in relation to their group benefits programs
  • Support client communication through drafting of formal letters, reports, and virtual and in-person meetings
  • Perform data entry to support quarterly and annual financial analysis for a broad range of clients in a variety of industry sectors
  • Conduct renewal analysis, negotiate fees and rates with carriers – in alignment with department strategy
  • Review insurance contracts and financial statements
  • Support the lead consultant in managing projects, conducting or directing research, and drawing meaningful conclusions from client and market data
  • Gain insight and build knowledge of our organization, its services, people and purpose
  • Data review, assumption setting, and report writing for actuarial valuations (actuarial track only)
  • Actively manage all assigned accounts, and represent HUB and our values in all interactions with clients including client meetings, events and presentations.
  • Handle confidential information and data – adhering to HUB’s privacy and confidentiality agreement

What You’ll Need For Success

  • Post-secondary degrees in Commerce, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or Human Resources
  • 1-2 years of professional experience as an analyst or in a corporate setting, with employee benefits experience being a valuable asset.
  • Completion of courses related to Group Benefits (e.g. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist – CEBS, insurance license, and actuarial designation) are not required, but would be an asset
  • LLQP certification is considered an asset; candidates without it must be willing to complete it within the first year of employment.
  • Advanced Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, project management, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a high-paced, growth environment
