What is the opportunity?

As a Global Mobility Analyst you will be an integral part of the Global Mobility Centre of Expertise and will work closely with the Mobility Tax team to provide advisory and administrative support resulting from RBC’s various international mobility programs. Combining your attention to detail, financial aptitude and willingness to learn, you will facilitate delivery of an exceptional experience for all stakeholders – employees, payroll, and colleagues across Total Rewards. This work encompasses all RBC business platforms and covers global employee mobility programs in and out of our global locations, as well as business travel into Canada, UK and the US including US interstate travelers.

What will you do?

  • Provide support to the Mobility Tax team in administering international expatriate and short-term business travel compliance programs, including maintenance of authorization tracker, tax equalization payments and collections, etc.
  • Under supervision of Senior Management, maintain monthly general ledger reconciliation and balancing attestation, liability recovery reporting, and other processes or reporting that is required as a result of cross-border payroll withholding or tax compliance activities.
  • As directed, work with equity compensation, global payrolls as well as external vendors (relocation and tax services provider) to enable year end data collection and reporting processes.
  • Under supervision of Senior Management, work with corporate travel as well as external vendors to monitor monthly business travel activities, draft employee communication and initiate vendor services as required.
  • Liaise with external immigration service provider to manage compliance requirements and secure ad hoc guidance for RBC business travelers. Advise internal stakeholders on immigration processes and policies, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Co-ordinate vendor invoice reviews and ensure accurate billings are approved and cleared in a timely manner.
  • Work with team to assist in implementation of new tools and technologies that automate or improve workflows.
  • Update internal job aids on processes and procedures, reports and other duties as it relates to increasing efficiencies as directed by team. Continuously build knowledge in areas that include mobility tax, mobility program policies and guidelines, process management or other areas.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in complex corporate environment, preferably in Global Mobility / HR, Finance, or Payroll.
  • Self-starter with strong prioritization and organization skills; outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Financial literacy with experience reconciling general ledgers and preparation of internal financial reporting.
  • Detailed oriented and adept at handling large volume of data in data analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver under pressure through both independent and/or collaborative work effort

Nice-to-have:

  • A can-do attitude with passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience.
  • Self-learner, open to change and making improvements to programs that will deliver operational excellence
  • Strong technical capability (vendor web-based admin tools, SAP, Workday); experience with business report preparation & presentation.
